The Partners in the Gospel Process:
This process will involve a three-step movement: beginning with (1) considering the people, ministries, gifts, opportunities, and challenges that describe who we are today, then (2) imagining who we want to become within the mission of the Church, before (3) determining the resources and initiatives needed to get there. A final step will focus on what our new parish should be called. Each step will necessarily include opportunities to solicit feedback from the Parish Family, via surveys or listening sessions. This will ensure the process is collaborative and benefits from the creativity and commitment of parishioners from across our Parish Family.
The CRC Pastoral Council:
Our pastoral council includes members from all three communities within Columbia River Catholic. They advise our pastor and collaborate with the parish family staff to go methodically through the steps of this process outlined above. Click here to see the members of our CRC pastoral council.
Partners in the Gospel Regional Community Gatherings:
This fall, the Archdiocese of Seattle will be hosting a series of Regional Community Gatherings. The nearest one for CRC parishioners will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday October 29, at 6:00 pm. Grounded in prayer, these regional community gatherings will reflect on how the Holy Spirit is guiding the future of the Church in Western Washington. Click here to learn more.

Future listening sessions:
The next opportunity for listening sessions at each campus are anticipated on the weekend of October 17-18, 2026. This will be to consider “Who do we want to become?” Unique elements of this consultation will include the chance for parishioners to indicate which ministries, apostolates, events, or other initiatives they recommend for starting, continuing, or stopping in the initial years of our formation as a single parish.
